you guys are assholes. i had to watch my friend almost die to arfid multiple times. ER trips, psych holds, months and months at eating disorder facilities, having to be practically sedated to eat a slice of apple.
arfid is an eating disorder that kills. it’s not a silly quirk.

@AngrySheep2 @bigmegacunt @mightnotbeaIone all this to say that arfid recovery is the most efficient if the person is seeing a dietician. If not, it can be retraumatizing to try by yourself since there is basically no accurate and safe directions online other than diy exposure therapy (which is inefficient for many cases)

@AngrySheep2 @bigmegacunt @mightnotbeaIone years 💔 you are quite right tho, it is a form of recovery, but its pretty hard to compare addiction to arfid☹️ even in EDA its pretty frustrating to share about it since some steps for ed recovery (in eda) cannot be applied for arfid
