You’re always changing. From the moment we're born to the day we die. So why is it so hard to change on purpose? We just released a preprint introducing Wayshaping – a framework for working with change the way it happens: multiscale, emergent, embodied, and relational. a 🧵

The “human” in anthro-complexity is not a disembodied mind; it is not a mechanical body nor an island entirely of itself. Complex humans are mind-body-world beings, all rolled into one. Get ready for the Retreat for our first retreat of 2025! 🌟 We have some inspiring speakers/experts to provide input, but the retreat format is highly interactive, with people working in small groups over the period. Attendance is a chance to get in at the start of the overall programme, which will run for a year or more but with actionable and usable tools from day one. ✨ 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐝𝐮𝐟𝐟 is one of our speakers among the three! As an expert in the neuroscience of conflict and as one who speaks from the field of practice in peacebuilding, Mari has the following to say in her book: academic.oup.com/book/39487 “My main intellectual interest was in trying to understand why some people in Northern Ireland who had initially chosen to use violence to address the conflict, some of whom had been jailed, eventually abandoned such a strategy in favour of dialogue efforts [...]. I discovered that very few of these people had been talked or reasoned out of their support for violence. By far, the majority who had changed were those whose minds and behaviours had been transformed through experiences that had subsequently created emotional and instinctual changes for them”. Delighted to chat with Michael Schrage. Michael's book Serious Play: How the World's Best Companies Simulate to Innovate was published in 1999 and is still as relevant today. podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seeki…

Pesky timezones couldn't stop us from working with the wonderfully playful bunch at the Australian Institute of Play? The design of their Play Policies will help nurture the Ecology of Play across Australia.
