Hi. Sorry for late downdate. I was a bit quick half an hour ago. We have some internal issues, therefore we have closed the system for login for the rest of the night. Great excuse for having a night off from work during holiday season!!! The downscale promise still holds!

Ok. Seems that file system is again mounted and system is up running. Have now opened for user login on Stallo. Machine will be running until Jan. 4-Jan 11 2021. We give you 11 days extra on the house for parts of the system. Happy new year!!!

Unfortunately, luck seems to avoid us when it comes to restart after power down. This time, /home is not up. We are trying to fix the issue before users are allowed back in.

Possible cause to operational challenges during December: Somebody has stationed a couple of "rampenisser" in our office-space, and not being sufficiently aware we may have brought them down to the machine room with us. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Access to Stallo has now been shut down due to power testing tomorrow morning 07:00-09:00. We will try to put it back into service a.s.a.p after test has been run. Probabel end-of life for the old monster will be Jan. 04th 2021.

Stallo downtime on Dec 16th is cancelled. Instead downtime on Dec 29th. So you can run your calculations till after Christmas without us getting in the way.

Short downtime Wed. Dec. 16th. We take the machine down during daytime to, sadly, remove the old racks which has been in service since 2012. Note that the rest will follow in January 21!

Apologize for late notification, but file system has been restored on Stallo.

We have some major problems with Lustre file system at the moment. One of the main storage coolers is down. We are kicking out all users now and hope to get the machine back to an operational state ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

Hi all. Stallo is now down. Note: The operational team has decided to NOT power up rack 1-5; meaning that all the 16 core nodes including high-mem will not be available anymore.

For the sake of gentleness to the old gigant, we are taking Stallo down in a very mild and careful procedure starting 12:00 Wednesday 25th. Beg for understanding of need for gentleness towards the geriatric old beast.

We have been asked by Sigma2 keep Stallo running until Dec. 31st 2020. The migration schedule will be parallelly displaced almost accordingly.

Due to necessary work on the power infrastructure in the building that houses Stallo, we need to take the machine down from Nov 25th 16:00 until Nov 26th 12:00. Apologies for the inconvenience.
