Players saved 20-30% on club kit in the last 18 months and ended up buying more club gear without having to sell their organs. All we did at @verzoe_cricket was introduce a pre-order system. Players order early -> we don't over-produce -> we cut our costs -> we pass savings on to players. Changing from the Amazon Prime mindset is hard. But its worth it if you prefer club merch not continuing down the path of being an impulse purchase.

@cric_blog Cummins has responded directly calling out that there is stuff in there that's false, so not sure what elements of the article to believe really.

According to a report by @danbrettig in The Age, top Australian players including Pat Cummins are considering jumping ship to the SA20 in 2028 if salaries in the BBL don't improve. Also, a number of players in the BBL are reportedly frustrated that international players earn about $100,000 more than Australian players in the tournament. More headaches for CA as they push to convince all state boards on the need for privatisation in the BBL.

This is mental. Two very decent deliveries going the journey. Incredible shots from a very talented all-round cricketer - Washington Sundar.

Umpire Paul Pollard has done Craig Overton dirty there! Brought his arm up to doff his hat, all the @SomersetCCC lads thought he’d raised the finger! Probably wasn’t out, right decision, but some bluff from the umpire!! Hadley did well to stand there shocked! #GlamvSom

We've all heard about the best cover drivers in the game but how about the best on-drivers? Arguably a much tougher art form🎨 🏏 ❤️ I'll put PBH May, Mark Waugh, Graham Gooch, KP, Viv Richards, Mohammed Azhharuddin and Greg Chappell up for starters..... @RealMarkLatham

If franchise cricket is the future, it will need to follow the model of other leading sports leagues. Part of what makes football leagues great is the ebbs and flows over the season, intra league competitions sewn in together and the time it allows for fans to digest what's happening. Having one concentrated window and adding more games to it, will lead to fatigue. The local fan will likely lap it up in the short term but it will struggle to keep their attention and will struggle to entice the global cricket fan.
Ragav X@ragav_x

BCCI likely to propose increasing the IPL window from 10 to 12 weeks in the 2028-31 ICC FTP, allowing the league to expand to a full home-and-away format with 94 matches.

- All-hands meetings = useless - Best practice meetings = useless - Recurring meetings = mostly useless - Brainstorm meetings = useless - Ad-hoc meetings around a specific objective = mostly useful Makers/doers get punished. Managers look busy running from cubicle to cubicle.

The pretext of this tweet is the idea that a small business in the UK is not viable if it cannot afford to pay whatever the government of the day deems to be a liveable wage. The OP reasons that many such businesses in the UK should have never existed for this reason. Sorry but this idea is a socialist re-imagination of why businesses exist. They think businesses exist to serve the needs of their employees and the objectives of government when the reality is businesses exist primarily to make a profit. There are many businesses in the UK that do have to use UK based staff for all of their day to day operations, many businesses are offshoring operations to cheaper locations and with the advent of machine learning and AI, many tasks don’t even need humans anymore. These businesses will continue to be viable, they’ll continue with a smaller UK based staffing footprint. You guys are so blinded by entitlement and idealism that you fail to see that the economy and business landscape is changing around you The existing government is already piling on cost and complexity to hiring staff. Businesses are responding by offshoring, automating and cutting their headcount. Look at the unemployment statistics. It is a delusion to think an even further left government can come in, add additional complexity and cost to hiring in the UK and yield different results. Please come back to reality. The greens economic policy is just a more radical version of what Labour is already doing, to think you would yield different results is insanity.

people often complain that too many people/not everyone should be going to university, but the real problem is that, evidently, too many people have been encouraged to start businesses that simply shouldn’t exist.
