Reading my first @StephenKing novel at the age of 35 and… whaaaat have I been missing. My daughter made me this little puppet of myself. It is holding #FairyTail because I haven’t been able to put it down since I first picked it up. Beauty.

do the menial labor because it is their role. They still partake in the everyday beauty that is elvish life. Someone still has to flip the burgers so to speak, but they don’t look at the work as less than. Wish I could quote a page number but I can’t find it!

@JessicaTilli1 And it is so hard to un-teach. Getting them to unlearn something that has sometimes been consistently taught in every grade level before they get to you.

@JessicaTilli1 Did a project in my Elementary Math Spec program where I gave a multi step word problem. You could tell they had been taught this strategy bc all kinds of words were circled… and it obv didn’t help. Simply the word “more” can mean more than one operation depending on context.

This isn’t new…so why do I still see so many key word posters hanging in classrooms? #MTBoS #ITeachMath
