Normally, I do not comment on Supreme Court judgements and only those who have a case can speak. But if a judgement is given against voiceless animals, then one has to raise their voice.
The court order is not practical, it is inhuman. Who will decide whether a stray dog is dangerous and it should be administered the death injection?
I feel, the court order will open up the gates of atrocities on voiceless stray dogs. Animal activist Menaka Gandhi's suggestion is right. If the State wants to lower the number of stray dogs, there should be a massive sterilization and vaccination drive for such homeless animals.
I would rather prefer the apex court to direct all state governments to start this on a war footing. rajatsharma.in/?p=12573

➡️अवगत कराना है कि आज दिनांक 19.05.2026 को माननीय सांसद सुश्री इकरा हसन, अपने समर्थकों एवं पीड़िता श्रीमती विमलेश देवी पत्नी राजवीर (ग्राम जशाला, थाना कांधला, जनपद शामली) के साथ श्रीमान पुलिस उपमहानिरीक्षक, सहारनपुर परिक्षेत्र, सहारनपुर कार्यालय पर आई थीं। वार्ता के उपरान्त कुछ समर्थकों द्वारा सड़क पर जाम लगा दिया गया जिससे यातायात प्रभावित हुआ । तत्काल स्थानीय पुलिस व यातायात पुलिस द्वारा मौके पर पहुँचकर यातायात व्यवस्था सुचारु कराई गयी तथा शान्ति व्यवस्था भंग करने वाले व यातायात बाधित करने वाले व्यक्तियों को हिरासत मे लेकर उनके विरुद्ध निरोधात्मक कार्यवाही की गयी । माननीय सांसद सुश्री इकरा हसन को पुलिस द्वारा हिरासत में नहीं लिया गया है । उनसे सम्बन्धित मजिस्ट्रेट एवं पुलिस उच्चाधिकारियों द्वारा वार्ता की गयी । डीआईजी महोदय द्वारा अभद्रता सम्बन्धित आरोप पूरी तरह से असत्य एवं निराधार हैं । वर्तमान में कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति सामान्य है।

मैं आम तौर पर Supreme Court के judgement पर comment नहीं करता. जिसका case है वो बोलता है. पर अगर फैसला बेज़ुबान के खिलाफ हो तो उनकी आवाज़ तो उठानी पड़ेगी. Court का आज का order, practical नहीं है, inhuman है. कल रात जब मैं हैदराबाद से लौटा तो Delhi Airport के terminal पर तीन डॉगी को देखा. गर्मी थी. जब airport का exit gate खुलता था तो वहां से ठंडी हवा आती थी. वहां वो तीनों बड़े आराम से लेटे थे. सैकड़ों लोग वहां से आ जा रहे थे, लेकिन उन्हें कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ा. अब ऐसे dogs को public places से हटाने का क्या मतलब है? कोई उन्हें कल aggressive कहकर मार डालेगा तो इसकी ज़िम्मेदारी कौन लेगा? कौन सा dog aggressive है इसका फैसला कौन करेगा? इसलिए मुझे लगता है कि court का आज का order बेज़ुबान जानवरों पर ज़ुल्म का रास्ता खोलेगा. Maneka Gandhi का idea ठीक है. अगर dogs की आबादी को कम करना है तो रास्ता एक ही है- बड़े पैमाने पर नसबंदी की जानी चाहिए. अच्छा तो होगा कि court इस बारे में सरकारों को युद्धस्तर पर काम करने का आदेश दे. #StrayDogs #SupremeCourt

Update – सहारनपुर, यूपी में सपा सांसद इकरा हसन थाने में धरने पर बैठ गई हैं। इकरा के 5 समर्थकों को पुलिस ने रोड जाम के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। इकरा हसन उनकी रिहाई की मांग कर रही हैं। दरअसल, सांसद आज एक महिला की समस्या लेकर DIG सहारनपुर के पास गईं थीं। आरोप है कि DIG ने उनकी बात नहीं सुनी। इसके बाद सांसद वहां से निकलकर पार्किंग में आ गईं। आरोप है कि पुलिस ने यहां उनके 5 समर्थकों को रोड जाम के आरोप में गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

हरियाणा के पानीपत जिले से एक रोंगटे खड़े कर देने वाला और इंसानियत को शर्मसार करने वाला मामला सामने आया है. यहां अतोलापुर गांव में एक युवक द्वारा गाय की छोटी बछिया के साथ हैवानियत की गई. इस घटना के बाद से गांव में भारी रोष है. 'गोमाता के लाल सेवा समिति' के पदाधिकारियों और कार्यकर्ताओं ने घटना के विरोध में थाने पहुंचकर प्रदर्शन किया और आरोपी के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है. पुलिस ने शिकायत के आधार पर केस दर्ज कर मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है.

A group of trans persons were attacked in Malviya Nagar at 4AM on 12th May. One of the trans person was beaten up brutally and was taken away in a car. The victim's family said that the police initially refused to file an FIR and even when they did, they did not help them find the victim. The victim rescued themselves from the perpetrators and is in the hospital recovering from serious injuries. However, despite knowing the identity of the attackers, police still has not made any arrests.
