@CA_TimB as a CA member I’m keen to understand what exactly you’re doing to fight the trail hunting ban? You have been parroting the same lines for 10 years now none of which have made any difference. So when are we going hear your new strategy?

.@CMO_England Professor Sir Chris Whitty explains what the Tobacco and Vapes Act, which became law today, means for future generations. From 1 January 2027, no one born on or after 1 January 2009 will legally be sold tobacco, creating the UK's first smoke-free generation. Read more: gov.uk/government/new…

@jonburkeUK @KathyConWom Its a shame people like jon burke were not born 60 years ago. He would have put much of his energy into proper labour values like supporting the working class etc. Instead, today he more focused on luxury ideologies that hit the working class hardest.

1/ Norway levies the same tax on oil & gas as Britain. 2/ Norway generates more oil & gas tax because they didn’t ‘maximise recovery’ in the 80s to slash taxes for the rich. 3/ The U.K has pumped ~93% of its oil & gas, which peaked 27 years ago. Care to comment @KathyConWom?

Norway collected £50bn from North Sea oil and gas last year. We collected £4.4bn, having taxed our own producers into closure in pursuit of a #netzero fantasy. Tucker Carlson argues that the deliberate demographic replacement of white populations in the UK and other Western countries is designed to "humiliate and degrade" indigenous white peoples. "Who's pushing this?" "The population clearly doesn't want it... There's no referendum on it. You don't get to decide." "You've got no voice in it other than you get to go to jail if you complain loudly enough about it." "I think it's the biggest and darkest thing that has happened in the last thousand years... and I think it's leading somewhere really, really bad." "It's not happening by accident. That's obvious because it's only happening in white countries."

The Uniparty surrendered Chagos because international law always mattered more to it than the interests of the British people. The Tories lost negotiations they never needed to start. Labour was delighted to capitulate. Reform will always defend British sovereign territory.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

Astonishing to hear @KemiBadenoch claim victory over Chagos. The last government began the surrender negotiations in the first place! Never trust a Tory.

It’s such an insane system that we force every housing developer to barter with local authorities about how many properties they have to subsidise in their own development. Fundamentally unserious arbitrary policy. Just tax them. One rate. No silly buggers.

EXCLUSIVE Sir Keir Starmer has been forced to drop legislation which would cede sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius in a further deterioration of relations with Donald Trump The Times has been told that a bill underpinning the controversial deal will not be included in the King's Speech next month after the US president branded it an "act of great stupidity" and withdrew his support The government stands by the deal and will attempt to persuade Trump to change his mind but has acknowledged that it cannot proceed without his backing Ministers are "deeply frustrated" with Trump, who initially supported the deal after extensive discussions between intelligence agencies but changed his mind during a dispute with Nato over plans to seize Greenland The government believes that it puts the future of Diego Garcia, the UK-US base in the islands which has been used during the Iran war, at risk It is concerned that Mauritius will mount a legal challenge granting it access to the waters around Diego Garcia, making it harder for the base to host nuclear submarines and patrol surrounding waters The deal was highly contentious. It would have seen Britain hand over the islands to Mauritius before immediately entering into a 99-year lease for Diego Garcia. The government claimed it would cost £3.5billion, although the Tories disputed this and said it would cost £35billion his over its lifetime. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Many problems with the immigration system would be solved if we required immigrants to be net fiscal contributors, giving visas on that basis, and sending home people who were not. "Half of all migrant children currently live in poverty" is a terrible indictment of who the system is selecting and allowing to remain here.
Emily Thornberry@EmilyThornberry

Half of all migrant children currently live in poverty - an already shameful statistic. But the Earned Settlement model will see that poverty prolonged for 90,000 children in working migrant families. That's why my community says the Government must think again.

This is ridiculous. The frontline barely moves, thousands continue to die. The $billions of aid from UK, EU & US have only prolonged the conflict & reduced our own fighting power. When, inevitably, a peace deal is struck, it will be worse for Kyiv than it could have been in 2022.
