Update Amazon is still blocked. Majority Maldivians aren’t able to buy things online like they used to before 2023. Blocking websites like this was never a thing before. Now everyone is wondering which websites aren’t blocked. If it’s not blocked, then a 30% fee applied. If a fee not applied, then an equivalent percentage added to the exchange rate. BML is deliberately keeping the messaging and communication mixed, to not give a straight answer, hoping people would get used to this new reality and stop complaining.
