I walked into @PNGPowerLtd office to pay for electricity bills but the lady at the counter told me to wait because of blackout in the office. I looked around &this particular PNG Power office was indeed in the dark.

Today three more people attempted suicide and self harm. Two are in Port Moresby and one on Manus. So far we have recorded 12 self harm and suicide attempts. The number’s raising by hours now.

There has been an immediate increasing of suicide attempted on Manus & Nauru, which is connected to the result of election. Under the current government basically the men lost hope bcz of many the sicks ppl can’t adequate medical treatment, no reliable resettlement opportunity.

Refugees on Manus start their day with suicide attempt, this poor guy who has suffered physically & mentally for long time but they ignored him. This morning he thought suicide is the greatest kind of freedom,a release from everything, from a life that had been ruined a long time

To the person who called me pathetic, over the last two years I've gone from being homeless and doing crack and heroin daily to completely turning my life around, got a roof over my head, been drug free for 19 months, got a voluntary job.

If ONeill indeed does have Australian citizenship..and the Australian Government knew..it would also mean that the Australian Government entered into agreements with him knowing this and knowing that any such agreements would be illegal...
