Fhenix is like "Secret Vault" for the internet. Usually, when you send money on a blockchain, it’s like sending a postcard—anyone can read it. Fhenix makes it like sending a letter in a locked titanium box that the computer can still process without ever opening the lock.
Here is a simplified, step-by-step guide to testing it out.
🛠️ Phase 1: Get "Fake" Money (Gas)
Before you can do anything, you need "Testnet ETH." This isn't real money; it’s just fuel to let you use the test network.

Request ETH: Enter your crypto wallet address (like MetaMask) and click "Send Me ETH."

This step teaches you how to turn "public" money into "private" money.
The Mission: Go to test.redact.money and connect your wallet.
Encrypt: Type in a small amount of ETH and hit "Encrypt." You’re essentially putting your money in a digital "black box."
Decrypt: Do the opposite! Take a little bit out of the box to prove you can still access it.

Now you’re going to test the actual Fhenix technology.
First, go to the Shielded Mode website. You’ll start by "Deploying a Contract," which is just a fancy way of saying you’re setting up your own little private workspace on the blockchain.
Next, you will Mint Tokens. You’ll create "Fhenix USD." Do this twice: once as a "Public" transaction (where everyone can see) and once as a "Private" transaction (where only you know).
Then, try Shielding. This moves your tokens from the "open world" into the "secret world." To get them back, you’ll "Unshield" them, which requires you to click a button to "Reveal" your balance first—because on Fhenix, even the computer doesn't show your balance unless you ask it to!
Finally, try Sending. Send some tokens to a friend (or a second wallet address). Do a normal transfer first, then try the Confidential Transfer. The second one is the "magic" one where the amount and the sender stay private.
