@hurfyd Great memories to this. Before the world became completely fucked.

different to cosine.club which generates embeddings from mel spectrograms of the raw audio with metadata as supervision signal on the underlying model. also s/o to @_barneyhill for building a UMAP visualiser for cosine embeddings at barneyhill.com/pages/fieldsta…
English

zig-zag.fm it uses discogs metadata like label, era, subgenre, pressing plant, sound engineer etc to build a matrix factorization model extracting latent similarities as embeddings then UMAP to project into 2D clusters

@milorad22459064 nice! will get playlist crud stuff done and let you know :)

made some updates recently have a look :) :) :)
- 1.9 million tracks ingested now
- u can save tracks to playlists
- theres an API
- filter on year, have/want, price
- i made it green
- thats it thank u every1 who sends nice messages and feedback
cosine.club

building an audio similarity search engine.. given an input track it will find others that sound similar using vector embeddings from a machine learning model with an index of 1.1 million electronic music tracks
English

@withqwerty @milorad22459064 on a playlist page there is a suggestions list at the bottom based on items in the list can also add to API as well to get suggestions for a playlist
English

@hurfyd @milorad22459064 could make a simple tool where you can give it a playlist and it will generate a “next similar” one (ie next most similar song to every song in that list)

This is one of my favourite sites on the Entire Web, and if you Enjoy Music, you need to be here.

@aguadeoleo if ur familiar with compiling c @monty10x made a lil prog here that uses the same model to add/search embeddings in a vector db github.com/montyanderson/…
English

@hurfyd id like to do that but with a personal library, is it possible?
English

@acey_music thanks! using this model repositori-api.upf.edu/api/core/bitst… to generate a representation of the audio as a vector (an embedding) then using cosine similarity to compare between embeddings
