@northbasics @marniecohen hardeman not a lockdown defender, you want him to run and take game on not be mainly focused on his player. at the moment mcdonald really only the one option

@hurkymark @marniecohen Agree on the toll being a captain of that basket case side but despite his recent improvement he’s a big reason we were uncompetitive in so many games outside of one standout year. Archer back, Hardeman in, he doesn’t play. Still always a loyal servant of the club like his dad.

The way Luke McDonald has stood up in this game has been sensational. Bleeds blue and white this man. Lucky to have him at the helm

@northbasics @marniecohen being skip or co skip at our club the past 6 seasons would leave anyone with mental issues the way we have performed, which has to effect own performances. we need his experience down back and with archer out for year not many others who can do mid/small lockdown like he can

@hurkymark @marniecohen No doubts about his effort and loyalty. I think the game has long gone past him but I will agree he ended last season well and he was excellent in game one this year. Not being captain has helped him I reckon.

@northbasics @marniecohen mcdonald bleeds blue and white and always gives 100%. makes silly mistakes at times but was very good last year until injured and has been good in our first 2 games this year

@hurkymark @marniecohen He was pretty good last week too. I’ll put my hand up and say I didn’t watch much of yesterday’s match. Every time I tuned in there were the same old problems of the worst north side under Noble, it was clear in the third we were going to lose even when the margin was small.

@northbasics @marniecohen he played on waterman for all but a few minutes because of logue going down. outsized against one of the best forwards in the game, and kept him to 1 goal. he was excellent

@northbasics @NMFCOfficial sheez had 40, ldu 32, powell 23, so can't say they went missing, they just weren't effective and certainly got beating at centre bounces. X took so many balls out of the ruck and just gave the ball away didn't help. i much prefer Z and PC in there than jy

@hurkymark @NMFCOfficial Maybe, I wasn’t watching closely but from what I can gather LDU, Sheez, Powell all went missing so Clarkson may have felt he had no choice. Probably would’ve been better to put Zurhaar in if we were getting monstered by Harley. Looks like they could’ve done with Urquhart there.

@ColinCurry14 @Juryduty81 mcdonald was terrific on their best fwd when he should never have been anywhere near him but for logue going down. simpkin is another story - for some reason goes into the centre when we have all the momentum and he turns it with his crap decision making 2 ball ups in a row

@Juryduty81 They got what they deserved. Played a lazy 2nd quarter and the rest is history. I'm dissappointed with Simpkin & MacDonald.
