We need the institutions in this country to step up. These are not light accusations. If an iota of what's being said is true, this screams of a high level coverup. I want to ask our parliament members, PG, Police and the army, are you really willing to let this one slide?

And there are already details that do not add up. Initially, we were told that the team realized Mahdhy was missing only after they surfaced. We were also told that he did not enter the cave alone, but with a dive buddy. That would mean both divers exited the cave together, the team began surfacing, and Mahdhy was somehow lost during the ascent. But it is said that the marine police retrieved his lifeless body around 40 feet inside from the cave entrance, with parts of his gear removed, suggesting he may have been trying to swim back toward the tanks kept near the entrance. These accounts do not align. If a diver entered the cave with a buddy and was lost during surfacing, his body should not have been found back inside the cave. This is not something that would be difficult to verify objectively. Dive watches and computers record detailed data, including depth profiles, timings, ascent patterns, and movements throughout the dive. Those records alone would help establish a clearer picture of what actually happened, but will any of these ever be shared / published? This is exactly why I said from the very beginning that an independent commission must be established to investigate this incident. The case involves both the Police and MNDF, and for public confidence and credibility, the investigation must be transparent, independent, and free from institutional conflicts of interest.

An independent commission should be established IMMEDIATELY to investigate the tragic death of SSGT Mohamed Mahudhee @MMuizzu And I say this with complete seriousness. 1. The very first question journalists should ask, and @MNDF_Official should recheck. verify, answer honestly and clearly, is regarding the accuracy of their statement here “haalu dheravegen ADK hospital ah vanee gendhevifa” No human can survive 30 min without breathing under normal circumstances.

This incident will once again show the difference between a country that truly values human life & dignity and one that does not. The Italian Gov spent resources to hire professional divers to retrieve the bodies of five of their citizens, transport them back to Italy, planning to conduct autopsies, and launch investigations into whether criminal negligence contributed to the tragedy. Meanwhile, when @MNDF_Official CG diver Mahdhy died, he was buried within hours. To this day, the public does not even know whether he drowned, ran out of gas, or what exactly caused his death. It is unclear whether authorities seriously investigated the cause of death at all, let alone whether there was negligence by anyone involved. A human life should never be treated as disposable, especially the life of someone who risked himself in service of the country. Every life deserves answers. Every death deserves accountability.

A season to remember. A season to learn. A domestic double and everything poured out in pursuit of the title, pushing until the very last breath, only to fall agonisingly short. Doing all of that in a transitional season is nothing short of extraordinary. It is a brilliant feat and one that deserves to be celebrated wholeheartedly. what happened is truly tragic. condolences to all the families affected. i'm not an experienced diver, so i won't pretend to have an opinion on the technical details of what went wrong. but as experts have pointed out, cave diving is safe when proper preparation, planning, and procedures are followed and the same applies to rescue operations. we're already seeing posts from experienced divers highlighting the mistakes that were made. in both the expedition and the rescue mission. at the end of the day, the core issue in this country is accountability. without it, there's no guarantee these tragedies wont happen again.

Which means the whole MNDF dive team have dived in 24 hrs or less. Why the rush? What was the purpose? So many questions!
