MAGA accounts that have blocked me since 9/15: 4

Let me explain Dallas(s) 1. The summers are unbearable and this cannot be understood without moving there. You can't just visit Texas for 3 weeks in peak summer and understand it, because that's not why it's bad. It's bad because it's late October and it's 90+ and you're questioning your sanity as to whether not it will ever end. 2. Dallas' culture, superficially seems good, but once you dig down... 3. Dallas living is about the airport. You save money in Dallas and then fly out all the time because being in Dallas is rough. Airline travel in the US has declined a lot, so this way of life works less well. 4. The driving. It's dangerous. You need a tank and you're going to be sitting in it all the time. Dallas sort of seems like a city but it's not really. It's more like an area. 5. You can trade 3% state income tax for better weather, more trees, and fewer problems. I think Dallas is a solid place to live in a bigger house with A/C and grind for money aggressively for a short period of time and then move out of. Other than that, unless you are tied down there (job, family), I can't recommend it.

Before social media we basically got a handful of discourse topics that sustained us all year, and back in 2002 this was one of them

Olivia Rodrigo announces The Unraveled Tour, kicking off this September.

Billie Eilish says eating meat is WRONG and people can’t claim to love animals if they eat meat 😳👀

America does not have readily accessible good bread like Europe, you have to go to an ethnic super market or niche bakery. Jewel/Kroger, even Whole Foods, breads are a joke.

NBA media: “We need to deincentivize teams blatantly not trying to win basketball games.” Also NBA media: *Give Cooper Flagg the ROY award — rewarding a player with cooked numbers on a tanking team — over Kon Knueppel, who played a significant role on a team trying to win*

Cooper Flagg is the 2025-26 NBA Rookie of the Year. Kon Knueppel finished second, and VJ Edgecombe finished third. 1. Cooper Flagg — 412 total points (56 1st place votes) 2. Kon Knueppel — 386 total points (44 1st place votes) 3. VJ Edgecombe — 96 total points

A global media panel of 100 voters selected the 2025-26 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year. The 26-point gap between the top two finishers is the second smallest since the current voting format began in 2002-03, behind only a 15-point gap in 2021-22. Complete voting results ⬇️
