(THE ACTUAL) END… THAT WAS A GRAND EXPERIENCE! THANK YOU TO TIM, TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED OUT, AND TO ALL OF YOU LISTENING ALONG AND TAKING PART - I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED IT AS MUCH AS I DID… N.E.X.T UP… #TIMSTWITTERLISTENINGPARTY#WISHLISTENINGPARTY
What makes people want to see (or even care about) a particular DJ?
The music they play? Maybe that has something to do with it, but at this point, an artist's appeal is more directly tied to their public persona (i.e. what they represent).
Dance music fandom is changing.

Congrats Brazil 👏🏽👏🏽 one less right wing asshole in the world … now can we please vote in the US so these right wing conspiracy theorists don’t ruin this country? 🙏🏽🙏🏽
@RollingStone awesome that they could maturely reconcile and looking forward to seeing the tour. hoping for a speedy recovery for dave & an og lineup with new music is an exciting prospect
When Jane’s Addiction start their tour this weekend, original bassist Eric Avery will be back in the band - but guitarist Dave Navarro is sitting this one out for the first time since 1985.

Who would you say are the GOATs of electronic music? For me it’s between The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk. I think Chem Bros squeak it out over Daft Punk in terms of music, but if Daft came back for another tour there’s no where I’d rather be in the world. Who you got?
@edcaesar@NewYorker@SolomunMusic Excellent piece that really felt as though you were embedded. What’s your guesstimate at how many days you spent with him & how many total shows you saw him play? I also wonder if you became a fan of any other DJs or electronic music genres along this epic journey?
Since i know all 18k followers of mine are djs my question for you all is has anyone actually played a song that someone has requested via holding up their flashing phone screen?
@siriusxmvolume@TheNotoriousNIK@daniellanois metal was fantasy & punk was angst and real life. i grew up on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles in the 80s, and the punk aesthetic and ethos resonated way more than the satan and motorcycles vibe of metal did. plus punk was way more fucking fun 😁
