@zeanxe @Montreal I don't really feel like debating this more, but the United States is nowhere near something like Canada in terms of LGBTQ+ safety. There's a dead trans UW student who would've been able to attest.

@zeanxe @Montreal Also that's the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branch just so we covered all bases. Sure, there have been some good things, like the ban on Colorado's conversion therapy laws, but it's mostly a time of fear and just sad news for trans and LGBTQ+ people like myself.

@zeanxe @Montreal 30 states allow a "panic defense" for the murder of LGBTQ+ people. In simple terms, you can argue IN COURT that finding out a person was gay or trans is your JUSTIFICATION for MURDERING THEM. I don't pay Elon so I can't say much more, but most of the US is shit for LGBTQ+ people
