It’s unclear to me how patents can continue to exist as we enter the generative AI era. In the limit sense, prior art will accelerate toward infinity. Nearly any patent can be nullified by a clever AI powered web scraper searching out public domain content that was missed by the examiner. Knowledge will be free, ideas will be cheap, and physical prototypes will come together from a single prompt - perhaps dozens of iterations on an idea, in parallel. How / why should we continue to protect IP? Asking for a friend.

Major progress on the Elmer / Gmsh / ParaView simulation workflow. This has been a crash course for myself but the goal is to add this tool chain to the open source files so others can try their own variations on the reactor acoustic hemispheres / horns. The design is modular so we don’t have to worry too much about this first set of machined parts being good or bad. I have many geometry ideas and would love to test a few of them in these videos.
