Valencia Basket condena la actitud del Presidente de Panathinaikos, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, que rebasó cualquier límite durante el partido acercándose a la mesa con una actitud deplorable, tratando de influenciar e increpar a los árbitros, tal y como refleja el acta del partido, negándose además a acatar las indicaciones de los cuerpos de seguridad y generando una tensión injustificable, motivos por los que además la Policía le ha abierto un acta, así como a algunos miembros más de su expedición.
El Club presentará una queja formal ante la competición y espera que la Euroleague castigue duramente este tipo de comportamientos que manchan la buena imagen de nuestro deporte, sabiendo que se trata además de una persona reincidente.

València Basket condemna l'actitud del President de Panathinaikos, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, que va depassar qualsevol límit durant el partit acostant-se a la taula amb una actitud deplorable, tractant d'influenciar i increpar als àrbitres, tal com reflectix l'acta del partit, negant-se a més a acatar les indicacions dels cossos de seguretat i generant una tensió injustificable, motius pels quals a més la Policia li ha obert una acta, així com a alguns membres més de la seua expedició.
El Club presentarà una queixa formal davant la competició i espera que l'Euroleague castigue durament este tipus de comportaments que taquen la bona imatge del nostre esport, sabent que es tracta a més d'una persona reincident.

Valencia Basket condemns the behavior of Panathinaikos President Dimitris Giannakopoulos, who crossed all boundaries during the game by approaching the scorer's table in a deplorable manner, attempting to influence and berate the referees, as reflected in the game report. He also refused to comply with the instructions of security personnel and created an unjustifiable tension, for which reasons the police have issued him and several other members of his delegation a citation.
The Club will file a formal complaint with the competition and hopes that Euroleague will severely punish this type of behavior, which tarnishes the good image of our sport, especially given that he is a repeat offender.
