I keep ~25% of my portfolio in options trading. Around ~$50,000. This month it generated $2,971 in premium income. The strategy is called the wheel. Sell cash-secured puts on stocks I want to own at prices I'm happy to pay. If I get assigned, I own the shares at a discount. Then I sell covered calls against them until they get called away. Collect premium the entire time. Repeat. It's not passive. It requires active management. But it's real income from a real strategy that I run every single week. The other 75% of my portfolio sits in long-term Growth Stocks, crypto & metals. Options are the income accelerator. Not the whole plan. Anyone else running the wheel?
