Tusk: Extradition of Nord Stream 2 bombing suspect “not in Poland’s interest”
Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that handing over the Ukrainian national detained in Poland to another country would go against “Poland’s interests and basic principles of decency and justice.”
“Nord Stream 2 was built against the interests of all of Europe. The problem for Europe, Ukraine, and Poland is not its destruction, but the fact that it was built at all,” Tusk emphasized.
For context: Volodymyr, a Ukrainian citizen, was arrested in Poland on September 30 under a European arrest warrant issued by German authorities. He is currently being held in pre-trial detention in Warsaw.

The man was handed over to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, and extradition proceedings are expected to be launched.
