Si quieres, puedo ir a debatir por ti. Porque al menos en México en un chingo de ciudades el aborto es legal gracias a este tipo de argumentos. Hablar de que las pobres mueren, de abortos clandestinos, de muertes por aborto, de la cárcel o de niñas violadas son malos argumentos en un debate serio. En debates entre feministas y provida muchas veces los provida arrasan porque llegan con cifras que desarman los argumentos de las muertes y las presas. Porque no se está debatiendo desde los lugares correctos, sino desde una narrativa donde las mujeres aparecen como víctimas que tienen que sufrir para merecer un derecho reproductivo. Toda discusión moral, ideológica o religiosa alrededor del aborto es un mal debate. El aborto tiene que defenderse exactamente igual que se defiende una extracción de muela, un brazo fracturado o una apendicectomía: como un procedimiento médico. Porque eso es. Entiendan, verga, entiendan: es un procedimiento médico y un servicio más dentro de la vida sexual y reproductiva de las mujeres y personas con capacidad de gestar. Y ya. Tiene que ser legal no porque haya historias trágicas que conmuevan, no porque existan casos extremos que les parezcan suficientemente dolorosos, no porque una mujer tenga que probar que sufrió para merecerlo, sino porque es un servicio de salud. Punto. Mover la discusión a cualquier terreno que no sea el de la salud es un error. Llevarla a la moral, a la religión, a la ideología o al sentimentalismo es concederle al adversario. El aborto pertenece al ámbito médico, jurídico y de salud pública. Ahí es donde se gana el debate serio. Y en México ni debatir tienes que, basta con amparos bien fundamentados con toda la discusión que se ha dado a partir del litigio estratégico y argumentos basados en las resoluciones de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación. No le quieran vender chiles a la costeña.

To be clear, I deal with stress with humor. I was in untold amounts of pain and I was HILARIOUS. This was a joke. A haha. A funtime jest.

Once I was hospitalized and my boyfriend was by my side, worried and supportive. When the nurse brought this badboy out, I kept intense eye contact with my boyfriend the whole time, and kept repeating “it means nothing to me.”
