Client-server isn’t going away. But agent-tool architecture might become the new default interaction pattern for AI-first apps. Curious if others are thinking about systems this way too.

Earlier it was simple: Client ↔ Server. Now I’m starting to think the future looks more like: Agent ↔ MCP Server. Let me explain 👇

What’s really changing isn’t infra. It’s who controls execution flow. Old model: Developers define the flow. New model: Agents dynamically decide the flow. That’s a big shift.

So instead of: Client → Server It becomes: Human → Agent → Tool/MCP Layer → Infrastructure That’s a different abstraction layer.

The MCP server (or tool layer) becomes a structured capability provider. Not just REST endpoints — but semantic tools the agent can understand and use.
