UC San Diego transfer Hudson Mayes is planning to visit the following four schools in the next week, per his agent KJ Smith. Syracuse Baylor Oregon State New Mexico Averaged 11.1 PPG last season.

Some context here. Jake Hall planning to enter the portal is not a surprise to anyone at UNM. That the news came out today — literally while the Halls AND the UNM coaching staff is on an official campus recruiting visit with Jake's brother, Dax Hall, here in Abq today — that was a surprise. The communication with the Hall family and Eric Olen and the coaching staff has been the same today as earlier this week as it was last week and in season. Jake has crazy earning potential, and that will be explored. So, too, is returning to UNM, possibly playing with his brother for the first time, and maybe even with an understanding that the way he is maximized under Olen's system could put him in line for an even bigger payday a year from now. (Remember, Donovan Dent could have left UNM after his sophomore year for a lot of money, came back for his junior season and was the focal point of Richard Pitino's offense and led UNM to the NCAA Tournament then cashed in for $3 million at UCLA). Jake planning to enter the portal isn't great news for UNM, but it's not unexpected and it's not a end game scenario right now for his return to UNM. Olen and the Halls are, genuinely, close and have open communication more than a lot of coach/player family dynamics. A return is still possible. As is a departure.

NEWS: UC San Diego’s Bol Dengdit has entered the transfer portal, per source. The 6-11 RS-junior forward and All-Big West HM started every game for the Tritons in 25-26, averaging 10.7 ppg/5.2 rpg. Spent two years at Portland prior to UCSD.
