I’ve never seen a season where one team gets all the decisions in their favour, without receiving a red or conceding a penalty, doing everything as possible to help them win the league. This is by far the worst season I’ve ever watched. It’s corruption.

The difference beteeen $1 and Mk1 is so big that even if you earn Mk1 every day, you still won’t make $1 in 4 years.

While on my usual morning walk and run today, I felt unusually weak on my way back home. The sun hung mercilessly in clear skies, beating down on the empty roads. Sweat rolled down my face and with every step, my body felt heavier. So for the first time ever, I stopped by a certain bar along the road. Being a Monday morning, it was almost deserted. Just me and the lady behind the counter. I asked for a bottle of water. She was warm and eager for conversation, but exhaustion had drained me of words. After finishing the water, I slowly disembarked from the bar stool and sank into a couch nearby, watching La Liga highlights flicker across the television screen. A few people came and went. She greeted each one with the same kindness. About twenty minutes later, I asked for another bottle and paid through mobile money. As she checked the payment, she smiled and said, “From the moment you walked in, I kept asking myself where I had seen your face before. Now the name confirms it. I am a big fan. We no longer see your page though.” We spoke briefly after that. Somewhere in the conversation, she told me about her days working as a bartender in Salima and how one customer once mistakenly sent her more money through mobile money. That is when I realised she wasn’t the owner of the bar, just someone behind the counter trying to earn an honest living. But what stayed with me most was what happened next. She offered me another bottle of water on her bill. I wanted to refuse because I neither needed a third bottle nor wanted to carry one, but refusing would have felt rude. So I accepted it gladly. And somehow, that small act warmed my heart. Kindness excites me deeply. In a world growing colder by the day, and social media full of negativity, small gestures like this such carry something profoundly human about them. That is why I thought I should share this!
