Trivia time! Dunsparce is based on the japanese cryptid Tsuchinoko. In 70s Japan, there was a "Tsuchinoko Boom" where entire towns gathered to hunt the creature, encouraged by the media and even cash rewards. That’s why Ash's always trying to catch one in the anime!

@azarco91 Já disseram que o Dunsparce é baseado na criatura mitológica japonesa Tsuchinoko, o que não mencionaram é que, no Japão, nos anos 70, houve o 'Tsuchinoko Boom', em que cidades inteiras se reuniam para caçar a criatura, incentivadas pela mídia e até por recompensas em dinheiro.
