Returning briefly to big up this brilliant show: incredible physical performance (both the fitness and the specific evocation of Connors); taut, Whiplash-adjacent sound design; real dramatic chops to the psychological exploration of a fascinating character.

What’s it all about
A lot of people on here feeling the need to insist that the throwing into canals, attempted stabbings, head-stamping and hunting down of Jews this week in Amsterdam was provoked by the bad behaviour of Maccabi Tel-Aviv fans. Well, good to know that in this instance we’re ok with disproportionate retaliatory violence.

I genuinely think there is no real benefit to spending all day on here reading "analysis" from people whose greatest aspiration is to be a viral Twitter commentator
One small lesson of this cycle is that we're not served well by so many people doing recreational punditry, and I'd encourage non-journalists who mean well but don't know what they're talking about to consider engaging with politics in other ways.
