📢Am observat că am destule cunoștințe și prieteni virtuali care rezonează cu George Simion. Și chiar mă întreb, fără urmă de ironie: Pe bune, cu ce v-a cucerit? Că urlă mai tare decât ceilalți? Cu minciuni recunoscute public? Cu ieșiri de bătăuș frustrat care amenință femei în direct? Că flutură simboluri legionare și admiră personaje sinistre din istoria noastră? Vă inspiră că urlă? Că e agresiv? Că se bate cu gardurile? Asta e tot ce ne mai trebuie ca popor — un agitator cu drapelul pe post de scut și gura mai mare decât ideile? Vreți „schimbare” dar alegeți un huligan care n-a muncit o zi în viața lui. Care, cât a fost deputat, n-a avut nicio propunere concretă, nicio lege, nimic. Doar scandal, live-uri și isterie. Și tot ce „a scos la iveală” erau investigații făcute de jurnaliști. Nu e meritul lui că știe să citească ce scriu alții și să țipe cât mai tare. Simion nu e schimbare. E aceeași mizerie veche, doar că mai gălăgioasă și ambalată pentru TikTok. 📢Pe partea cealaltă, îl avem pe Nicușor Dan. Un om care a muncit în tăcere, fără spectacol, fără scandaluri. Un olimpic la matematică, care a făcut mai mult decât toți predecesorii lui la un loc. Și da, poate nu e „carismatic” în sensul zgomotos, dar e cinstit. Serios. Competent. Nu vă judec. Dar am pretenții. Pentru că știu că sunteți oameni muncitori, cu capul pe umeri. Și tocmai de asta sper să nu vă lăsați duși de nas de un huligan care n-a muncit o zi în viața lui, dar știe să urle și să dea vina pe toți. Dacă vă deranjează mesajul ăsta, e ok — dați-mi block. Eu prefer să spun lucrurilor pe nume, chiar și când nu-s populare. Pentru că mi-e mai frică de tăcere decât de unfollow.

So much focus from the British commentariat on X and Elon Musk and it's true that there were irresponsible people posting unverified allegations here. As there were on all other social media. But looking at media reporting, if it wasn't for X, we wouldn't even know that gangs of armed & masked Muslim men are rampaging through cities up and down the country. We wouldn't see them hunting down and beating up white people. We wouldn't have yet more evidence of two tier policing. All we would have is the approved narrative. You can see this with all the screaming about misinformation. When the founder of far left doxxing organisation Hope Not Hate posts misinformation about Muslims being targeted with acid which is completely false and obviously provocative, they just pretend it didn't happen. Like it or not, human beings invented mass communication platforms. They aren't going away. Governments and legacy media want to crack down on them to re-establish narrative control. I can understand why but it's not going to happen. Social media still needs a lot of work and things like Community Notes are an important first step in the right direction. We desperately need tools to counteract the fact that false but provocative spreads a lot faster than true but boring. That's human brains for you. It will take a lot of smart people like Elon to work out how to solve this problem in the era of mass communication. But we're not going back to governments and the media being in charge of what's true. Politicians and journalists are the two least trusted groups in society for a reason.
