From 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., we spent the entire day on a professional photo shoot with Kacey. Vertex, the pharmaceutical company that provided the stem cell transplant which cured her of beta thalassemia, is featuring Kacey (with her mom and dad) in an upcoming medical magazine. It was a full-scale production, complete with hair, makeup, wardrobe—the whole nine yards. I’ll never look at an ad the same way again now that I’ve seen how much effort goes into capturing the perfect shot. So incredibly proud of you, Kacey!

Yesterday afternoon at the TNU trustee meeting, Dr. Dan Boone announced his plans to retire next summer. Having spent nearly my entire life on the TNU region, I’ve had the privilege of watching his leadership up close over many years. Trevecca has experienced a meaningful season of growth and influence during his tenure, and I’m thankful for the ways he has helped shape the university’s mission. On a personal level, I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside Dan for more than 11 years on the Board of Trustees.
