Basketball- Game of runs and momentum (refs play a factor in that believe it or not) Football- Game of inches (every yard matters, plenties yards matter) Baseball- Game of inches as well, in a way (umpire calls matter, especially with balls and strikes)

Last thing: another common thread I see is just a bunch of stats and box score numbers but those don’t always tell the full story of a game. And that’s in ANY SPORT. Every sport is different.
