@iamDrSam This is exactly my point, they should be trained to directly manage patients, beyond the conventional pharmacy training. Let the populace feel your doctoring, not just a title
English

Calling everyone ‘doctor’ doesn’t fix doctor–patient ratio… training more clinicians does.
Titles ≠ roles

I just want pharmacists to have equal licensing as doctors. We're all doctors. The more doctors, the better the doctor -patient ratio
English

@Veteran_gandu Exactly—and that’s the point Competence comes from training and scope of practice, not from changing professional labels
If pharmacists are trained and licensed for clinical care, that’s a scope expansion issue
But clearly the training doesn't involve managing patients directly
English

@iamDrSam If their training will make them competent to see patients safely, please.....let them. Not just Dr by name

Not every fever is malaria… but a lot of people treat it like it is.
That’s how serious conditions get missed.

@Utd_Tomartial Your body can compensate so well that you may feel ‘fine’ right before crashing.

@_ayobami0260 Curriculum is standardized… training experience isn’t. That’s where the real difference is

@MonsieurCallum So who should have the final say on lab results in Ghana — the clinician managing the patient or the lab professional generating the data?
Because if we’re being honest, both sides are trained differently… but patients don’t care about professional turf wars, they want accuracy.
English

What is this madness of medical doctors in Ghana requesting that lab results must be reviewed and validated by them before being released ?
If medical doctors want to validate or review lab results before release, then they should first earn a degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) and sit for the same licensure exams as medical lab scientists.
Medical training does not automatically qualify anyone to interpret raw diagnostic data, that’s the reserve of MLS professionals.
MBBS qualifies them to treat and manage patients, not to override laboratory experts.
Stay in your lane or go back to school for MLS!

@__Sharyf He went through the system, they are trained to speak as such, they don't study nutrition but medication I mean how to prescribe you Orthodox drugs that will later kill you. You have no idea the importance of raw eggs. You are too funny🤣
