Spirtual gifts aren't meant to define your calling. They are unique God-given capacities meant to be used everywhere, all the time for God's purposes. They don't go on your resume. They are revealed in your life. They don't validate you but they must elevate Him.

Whatever God has called you to do he did not call you to do it alone. There was only one man that was ever truly self-sufficient and even he invited people into his ministry and life although he didn't need them. We absolutely must live out our calling in community.

God showed us his love by humbling himself to become human. He made himself relatable so we could be in relationship with him.

Whatever "it" is. The thing in your story of which you only tell a portion...the decision you made that would change "people's" opinion of you... The insecurity that you use as an excuse for inaction... "It" can not separate you from the love of God nor His call on your life.

People are confused when food looks good and tastes awful just like they are confused when people claim Christ but there's very little like him inside of us.

If you are feeling empty today. JESUS fills you and it lasts forever. You can spend energy searching or you can spend energy surrendering.

Before you give someone correction it best to make sure you have clearly communicated the expectation.

The more you overcome in life, the more you beat the odds and break cycles, the harder it may be to depend on God. A sense of self-sufficiency is our greatest barrier to intimacy with God.
