The U.S. directive is a clear signal of declining confidence in our national security architecture. Disturbingly, reports indicate the loss of yet another Army Brigadier General to terrorists in Borno earlier today. A nation where people cannot live, work, worship, or travel safely cannot progress or attract investment. The primary duty of any government is the protection of lives and property, yet in this regard, we as leaders have fallen short over the years. Our failure continues to place immense strain on our troops, who make the ultimate sacrifices. Liam Rosenior's biggest mistake is not consolidating on Maresca's work until the summer. This current Chelsea squad can't play his football without a lot of work to find a good balance. For instance, we can't play highline with Enzo and Palmer as 10. They are not intense out of possession when they have big space to press. Then, we can't squeeze the lines because we have careless CBs that can lose concentration in a highline unless we are doing man-marking at the back. There are so many pieces that must allign before enforcing his football. Enrique never destroyed him like this in Ligue 1 against Strasbourg and he has better players now. The difference is, Strasbourg players are super intense out of possession. From front to back. They didn't carry passengers. If he must do that at Chelsea, he needs to make difficult decisions in attacking midfield. You can't play high line if you can't press the ball, you will be exposed. At Club World Cup final, we actually didn't play a high line, we presser high but man-for-man and set traps to recover turnovers, while the defence kept a good line. And we were really strong in man-for-man duels that night. Maresca knew we couldn't play a high line and didn't bother. I hope Liam realises that very soon. You mustn't force your philosophy if it doesn't suit your players.
