One of the naughty critics of President Tinubu when he was declared winner in 2023 was Aisha Yesufu. She was everywhere, including on TV, saying Tinubu was not her president. She didn’t even stop there, she went ahead to disrespect the new Nigerian national anthem. She refused to recite it. A woman who is very rude to authorities cannot be a good leader. One common thing about that Obidient camp is that many of them talk before they think, and they let their emotions get the better of them. Look at Aisha Yesufu now her political career has not only hit the rock, but the temporary momentum she capitalized on to reach the mainstream media has also collapsed before her eyes. I hope prospective politicians learn from the political downfall of Aisha Yesufu.

I have said it repeatedly: Peter Obi does not seem to care about the very people who trail him from place to place in loyalty, political support and shared ideology with him even though their ideas are not strong enough to justify their political leadership opportunities. A politician of his stature ought to have moved beyond personal ambition alone and engaged in serious political negotiation that secures meaningful space within the system for his supporters also; ensuring a fair share of National Assembly seats in both the Red and Green Chambers, as well as governorship positions across various states. That level of political structuring would have translated his support base into real institutional power, rewarded loyalty with tangible opportunities and strengthened the movement beyond rhetoric, sentiments and campaign enthusiasm even though he is not logical enough to reason in this line.. Instead his focus appears largely concentrated on his own personal political journey, much like what was observed during his time in the Labour Party. Aisha Yusuf now appears to be confronting, perhaps belatedly, the same hard political realities in their new embraced NDC that some aspirants raised during the 2023 Labour Party experience that denied them the opportunity to be on the ballot; ironically, the concerns she at the time defended and dismissed while justifying the actions of Peter Obi at the time. Let her enjoy her folly while it's last

During endsars I wasn’t in Nigeria but I followed everything…. I even read that Tinubu was on the run and politicians were hiding. I could bet that his political dreams were dead on arrival. But today guess who the president is? Let me tell again…. When Wike had a confrontation with that navy guy…. I read here people saying his political career is gun. But guess who just ousted Fubara. During 2023 election, Wike was the deciding factor for whoever that could have became the president. Politics in Nigeria is like abracadabra. The more you see the less you understand.

The real story inside APC right now is not 2027, it is 2031. The calculation is simple. If Tinubu wins next year, he serves until 2031. At that point, the presidency opens up again. And everyone in that party knows that Wike, with his grassroots machine, his Rivers State loyalty base, his control of federal capital territory politics, and his proven willingness to destroy anyone who crosses him, becomes the most dangerous man in the room the moment Tinubu is a lame duck. So the move is to reduce him now, while Tinubu still has leverage and Wike has not yet declared his hand. They want to block his allies from primaries. Squeeze his influence in Rivers. Make him look finished before he even starts. The problem with that plan is that Wike has seen it coming. He has said nothing or moved nothing. They are not marginalising Wike but are provoking him. And they have no idea what that will releases.

During a previous visit, I committed to supporting the school's reconstruction and to helping create a modern, supportive environment for the students. Rather than simply tell newsmen “Oh, thank God, I have been successfully screened” and go his way, he seized the chance to throw a jibe at Tinubu. He said “It’s important that we are qualified to contest for the office, and we present our certificates for vetting.” Again, Nigerians are reminded of how dead our institutions are. Neither the INEC nor the Judiciary could and can stop Tinubu from contesting for the Presidential election, even when he didn't and doesn’t possess the “mandatory” qualifications for the contest.” It’s such a sad and shameful situation we are in.✍️
