A man spends 50 years teaching at MIT. He knows his time is running out. So he records one last lecture — everything he knows, distilled into a single hour. He died 5 months later. This is that lecture. The most important hour you'll watch this week. 👇 Bookmark it for later

Another inspiring visit today at ABUSOL (Agribusiness Solution Ltd) in Bugesera District, Mayange. Founded by Rwandan entrepreneur Jean Baptiste Musabyimana, ABUSOL stands out as one of the country’s leading poultry farms with over 130,000 chickens and producing between 80,000 and 100,000 eggs daily. Beyond scale, the impact is clear: contributing to Rwanda’s drive to increase access to animal-sourced proteins and strengthen food security. What is even more impressive is the level of innovations; the operate on an automated system handling feeding, water distribution, and egg collection, with robots now sorting and grading eggs. From local supply to international markets, this is agribusiness done right, efficient, scalable, and forward-looking. 🐔🐔🐔🐔🥚🥚🥚🥚 #InvestInRwanda #VisitRwanda #RwandaWorks #Agribusiness

It would seem as if, on the DRC, Massad Boulos is destined to be the disaster no one expected him to be at the time he waded into the choppy waters that is the conflict in the east of that country.

@FGoloobaMutebi How do figure that? Conflict in the eastern DRC is the easiest to solve in the history of conflicts. You nail Kagame down, the conflict is over.

Goat farming is more than just agriculture — it’s a game changer. 🐐 Low startup costs, fast reproduction, high demand for meat and milk, and strong resilience in tough climates make goats one of the smartest investments in modern farming. For smallholders and young entrepreneurs, goat farming creates income, food security, and real economic independence. It’s not just farming — it’s a pathway out of poverty and into sustainable wealth.

Why Most Orchards Fail in the First Months Most farmers don’t lose orchards because of bad land. They lose them because they ignore what young trees need right after planting. That early stage is where survival and future productivity are decided. 1. Water — Not Too Much, Not Too Little Newly planted trees have weak root systems. • Too little water → stress and poor establishment • Too much water → root rot Consistency matters more than quantity. 2. Root Protection and Mulching Young roots are fragile. Apply mulch to: • Retain moisture • Control weeds • Regulate soil temperature But don’t place mulch directly on the stem. 3. Proper Staking and Support Wind can damage or uproot young trees. Support them early so they grow straight and strong. 4. Early Nutrition Many farmers delay feeding. Young trees need nutrients to establish roots and shoots. Start with organic matter, then introduce fertilizers carefully. 5. Weed Control Weeds compete for water and nutrients. If weeds win in the early stage, your tree will always struggle. 6. Pest and Disease Monitoring Young trees are more vulnerable. Regular scouting helps you detect problems before they spread. 7. Training and Early Pruning This is where structure begins. Shape your tree early, or you will fight a bad structure for years. The Hard Truth You don’t “fix” a tree later. You either establish it right early… or manage problems forever. The first few months are not just a phase — they are the foundation of your entire orchard. Ignore them, and your orchard will remind you every season.
