I almost lost my cousin today at the hospital💔💔💔 My cousin and I were on our way back home from church, all of a sudden he started breathing heavily and collapsed Rushed him to a nearby hospital but the doctor said before he admits him and start treatment we must pay a sum of #200,000 naira This sounded outrageous to us because we didnt know what was wrong with my cousin and we weren’t sure if the doctor knew too So why charge us that much? We argued with the doctor to at least try to revive him but he said he wouldn’t do anything He was like “that is how others do and they leave here with free treatment” All this was going on as i watched my cousins life slip away At last, we didn’t have any choice but to pay the amount requested. This makes me wonder, is money really all that matters now in Nigeria?💔 Because I’m sure this wouldn’t be the case abroad
