Me: ugh, 2 hours is so long to watch a movie. It requires so much focus
Also me: oh, there's a 3 and a half hour @jessiegender video discussing how awful jk Rowling is? Sure I'll watch that
I hate Little Big. I don't exactly know who they are except that they're pretty much Die Antwoord without the trafficking and abuse allegations but with all the shitty jokey music still intact.
In strictly physical media, the hip format progression in my world line has been vinyl > cassettes > CDs for a million years > vinyl > cassettes. Accepting that digital dominance is all but inevitable, what format do you think comes next for physical stuff?
I kinda hate it when DJs post on social media or in group chats asking for new music suggestions. Honestly, put in the work and find things on your own. That includes listening to other DJ's sets, looking at setlists, digging through Bandcamp. Why should I make it easy for you?
@BigTimeKill Just personal preference. 4 or 5 tracks is a good way for me to get a handle on what an artist is trying to do, and is usually a more enjoyable listening experience.
Conversation from last night:
Friend: So do all of you DJs just hang out and talk shit about other DJs?
Me: Well...yeah. We're like the Mean Girls meets Waldorf and Statler.
