Plain and simple, if I would have taken my payout from Apex last year and tried to run it up I likely would’ve lost a lot of money in the past 6-9 months. For me, trading markets profitably are about finding those pockets of opportunity where there are major catalysts driving order flow on one side of the tape. Then trading becomes easy. The hard part is knowing how to survive and have enough longevity to avoid markets that aren’t providing those same opportunities. That often means just sitting still.

Gasoline is so cheap in the US. In a Germany we pay up to 2.40€ per liter! One full tank is about 75€. However, I don’t care because I have an EV car and solar panels 👌 Independence is great. Food prices rose I would guess 30% in the last 2-3 years. But I am only buying organic food, so it’s not comparable to a normal super market. In addition I am vegetarian which is much cheaper and I grow a lot of fruit and veggies in my garden 🪴

How are the oil price, food price in your country doing? In the US aside from some 30 cents gasoline price hike there hasn't been any changes.

What happens when there's a close group of friends and suddenly one of them has lots more money than the rest? You see this sort of thing a lot in Silicon Valley, for example. If that person wants their own room on trips instead of sharing like they always did, do they just book it that way, or do they ask? When the group plans a trip to Europe, does that person fly first class while the rest fly economy? If they now fly private and avoid commercial altogether, do they take a private jet to the next group trip to Vegas? Do they invite everyone along and cover the cost? Or do they ask friends to chip some amount? This shift in financial status has disrupted (and in many cases, destroyed) great friendship groups. For those who come into extreme wealth, it sadly eventually means finding new “friends” who share the same lifestyle. If not navigated carefully, lost lifelong friendships become just another example of more money, more problems.
