Troops arrest 12 more suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in borno, total hits 53 in one week By: Zagazola Makama Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested 12 additional suspected terrorist logistics suppliers at Gubio market in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State. A military source said the suspects were apprehended on Sunday afternoon during a targeted operation aided by credible intelligence and a concealed informant. The latest arrest brings to 53 the number of suspected terrorist logisticians, couriers and informants captured within the past one week as part of intensified logistics strangulation operations by the theatre command. According to the source, the sustained operations are aimed at dismantling supply chains sustaining Boko Haram and ISWAP elements across the North-East. “The operation in Gubio market was intelligence-driven and executed seamlessly, leading to the arrest of the suspects without incident,” the source said. He noted that preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects played various roles in the supply and movement of items for terrorist groups operating in the region. The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing further investigation by relevant intelligence units. The source added that the ongoing operations have significantly disrupted terrorist logistics networks, contributing to the relatively calm but unpredictable security situation within the theatre. He reaffirmed that troops’ morale and combat readiness remain high, with sustained efforts to deny terrorists freedom of action and access to essential supplies.

BREAKING: President Tinubu Donates All His Salaries Since Assuming Office to New Armed Forces Welfare Fund on His 74th Birthday On the occasion of his 74th birthday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the creation of a dedicated welfare fund to support Nigeria’s Armed Forces, honouring their service, sacrifices, and the families they leave behind. In a personal statement, the President and Commander-in-Chief declared: “On this my 74th birthday, I celebrate the valiant men and women of our Armed Forces.” He directed the Accountant-General of the Federation to immediately establish a special account for the fund, which will cater to: - Serving personnel - Those wounded in the line of duty - Families of fallen heroes (widows, widowers, and children) As a personal commitment, President Tinubu revealed that all his salaries since assuming office will be paid into this account as seed funding. This is in addition to existing insurance and welfare schemes. The fund will provide direct support to personnel who have lost limbs and to the dependents of those who paid the ultimate price in service to the nation. The President called for broad national support: “I call on our Governors, members of the National Assembly, the private sector, my friends and all well-wishers to support this initiative. Details of the account will be made available in due course.” He emphasised the moral obligation behind the move: “We must never forget those who stand in harm’s way for our peace, nor the sacrifices borne by their families. This is not charity. It is duty. And we will fulfil it.” Further details on the special account and how to contribute are expected to be released soon by the relevant authorities.

It has been a day of sober reflection today. May the Almighty forgive El-Rufai's mother and grant her Jannah Firdaus. In light of this reality that awaits us all, let us do some justice to this question. I intend to make this an intellectual Fiqh argument, therefore, I will be explaining how the giants of Islamic jurisprudence reconciled the several narrations on this issue. First of all, we must understand that the root of the matter is abrogation. In the early days of Islam, the Prophet forbade everyone from visiting graves to cut off the pre-Islamic practices of wailing. Later, he lifted this ban, saying in Sahih Muslim: كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُورُوهَا "I had forbidden you from visiting graves, but now visit them." The debate among the Fuqaha stems from another Hadith in Sunan At-Tirmidhi: لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَوَّارَاتِ الْقُبُورِ "The Messenger of Allah cursed the women who frequently visit graves." How did the scholars approach this? They split into three main schools of thought. The first view is strict prohibition. Scholars like Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah in his Majmu al-Fatawa argued that the curse on women remains active and was not abrogated. They lean on the argument that women are naturally more emotional and prone to wailing. The second view is that it is Makruh. Imam An-Nawawi documented in Al-Majmu that the majority of the Shafi'i school considers it disliked for women to visit. They fear women might lose composure, but they stop short of calling it outright Haram because of the general permission. The third view, which is the most balanced and intellectually sound position held by many Maliki and Hanafi scholars, is that it is permissible with strict conditions. To prove this, Imam Al-Qurtubi gave a brilliant linguistic breakdown in his famous book on the hereafter, At-Tadhkirah bi Ahwal al-Mawta wa Umoor al-Akhirah. He explained that the curse in the Hadith uses the word زَوَّارَاتِ (Zawwarat). In Arabic morphology, this is a form of exaggeration meaning women who visit excessively or turn it into a social routine. It does not apply to a woman who goes occasionally to reflect. Imam Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani cemented this permission in his monumental book Fath al-Bari. He referenced the Hadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari where the Prophet passed by a woman weeping at a grave. The Prophet told her: اتَّقِي اللَّهَ وَاصْبِرِي "Fear Allah and be patient." Here, Ibn Hajar points out a Usul principle. The fundamental rule in Usul al-Fiqh states: تأخير البيان عن وقت الحاجة لا يجوز "Delaying clarification from the time of need is not permissible." What does this mean? It means if a woman being at the graveyard was completely Haram, the Prophet would have ordered her to leave the premises immediately. As the lawgiver, he cannot see a Haram act happening in front of him and stay silent about it when the person needs correction. The fact that he only corrected her lack of patience and did not tell her to leave proves her presence there was lawful. We also have the practical application from the Sahabah. Abdullah bin Abi Mulaikah saw Sayyidah Aisha returning from the graveyard after visiting the grave of her brother Abdur-Rahman. He asked her if the Prophet had not forbidden this. She replied: نَعَمْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا "Yes, the Messenger of Allah forbade visiting graves, then he commanded it." So the final scholarly verdict is clear. Women can visit burial grounds. The restrictions are purely about behavior. A woman must observe proper Hijab, avoid free mixing with men, refrain from wailing, and not make it a constant habit. If she maintains her dignity, she is fully entitled to that spiritual reminder of the Hereafter. Allah knows best.

NIGERIAN ARMY CRUSHES TERROR ENCLAVES: 20 SUSPECTS APPREHENDED, KIDNAP VICTIMS RESCUED IN BLOODY 24-HOUR BLITZ In a series of high-intensity operations conducted over the last 24 hours, the Nigerian Army has further decimated criminal networks across the country, resulting in the arrest of 20 high-profile suspects, the recovery of an AK-47 rifle with specialized ammunition and the rescue of nine kidnapped victims. These synchronized strikes across the North East, North West and North Central theatres have effectively disrupted terrorist logistics chains and denied remnants of these groups any breathing space. In the North East, elite troops of the 21 Special Armoured Brigade, acting on actionable intelligence, launched a surgical cordon-and-search operation at Ngurosoye Village in Bama, Borno State. The operation led to the arrest of 14 suspects, including individuals linked to the notorious kidnapper Baba Ali. Significant logistics, including bags of fertilizers used for improvised explosives were seized. Simultaneously, a combined force in Marte LGA forced a group of insurgents to flee their positions, abandoning bicycles and essential supplies during the encounter. Shifting to the North West, troops of the 4 Demo and 2 Battalions successfully thwarted major criminal activities in Kaduna State. At Pan Daudu and Kuyello, gallant soldiers intercepted cattle rustlers and terrorists, forcing them to abandon 96 head of livestock. Most significantly, troops engaged terrorists at Lahin Dan Auta, successfully rescuing three kidnapped victims who have since been reunited with their families, proving the Army's rapid response capability. In the North Central theatre, Sector 1 of Operation WHIRL STROKE (OPWS) delivered a heavy blow to human traffickers and armed gangs in Benue State. A targeted raid in Gwer West led to the rescue of six victims and the apprehension of a suspected trafficker. Furthermore, a fierce patrol in Guma LGA resulted in the arrest of three terrorists and the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, two magazines and 27 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition effectively disarming a dangerous cell.

⚡George Galloway shuts down Piers Morgan: Galloway: When you talk about the “international community,” do you mean Washington, London, Tel Aviv, and Brussels? That’s not the whole world. Morgan: Then who is the world, in your view? Do you support Iran? Galloway: Listen carefully… China stands with Iran, Russia stands with Iran, Brazil stands with Iran, South Africa stands with Iran, Indonesia stands with Iran, Pakistan stands with Iran — and India deals with Iran. When did you, Piers Morgan, gain the right to decide that seven-eighths of the world’s population don’t matter just because you dislike their systems? These are the majority of the planet’s people, and they reject your so-called rules-based order — one that allows you to kill Palestinians while lecturing the world about human rights. Morgan: I’m not saying they don’t matter. I’m saying I’d rather live in a liberal democracy that guarantees freedom of speech than under a brutal dictatorship. Galloway (interrupting): You’re free to choose where you live — but you’re not free to destroy the rest of the world because they don’t live the way you do. That’s your “rules-based international order” — it’s the law of the jungle.

I do not normally interfere in stuff like this, but this is a classical example of ignorant engagement bait. Is it because of X payouts? If you want to be ungrateful, I will gladly remind you. Lest you forget, one of the requirements for getting paid is setting up a Stripe account. If many of you do not have amnesia, this is a country where you could not even do a 5 dollar international transaction, let alone earn directly in dollars without cutting corners. The government initiated the reforms that eased our financial restrictions in the international system. That is why the ecosystem is open enough for you to route those Stripe payouts and get paid right on your phone today. If not for anything, you should acknowledge that. You ungrateful lot.

Three teenagers were trying to gain unrestricted access into the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, but were denied access into the premises. The soldiers noticed something uneasy and unsettling about the behavioral patterns of these teenagers so they conducted a careful security search. Lo and behold, explosives were concealed inside a food flask. The explosion and attack today, if successful, would have been gravely dangerous. Thank a soldier today!

Troops Neutralized Boko Haram Terrorists in Borno Failed Attack, Recover Weapons Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully repelled a coordinated attack by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists on a Forward Operating Base in Mandaragirau, Borno, killing several insurgents and recovering arms and ammunition. A military source told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday when terrorists advanced from multiple directions toward the base. According to the source, troops who had taken ambush positions engaged the insurgents with superior firepower, forcing them to retreat in disarray. “The troops demonstrated resilience and tactical superiority, effectively repelling the assault and immediately launching a counter-exploitation along the terrorists’ withdrawal route, inflicting further casualties on the fleeing insurgents,” the source said. He confirmed that no personnel of the Nigerian military was killed during the encounter, although one Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade. The source added that at least eight terrorists were neutralised during the operation, while troops recovered seven AK-47 rifles, eight magazines, four RPG bombs, and a cache of ammunition. “Blood trails were observed along the withdrawal routes, indicating that several other insurgents escaped with gunshot wounds,” he said. He further disclosed that injured personnel from the encounter were currently receiving treatment at a military medical facility in Biu. Zagazola gathered that additional bodies of fleeing terrorists were sighted along their escape corridors toward the Timbuktu Triangle, a known insurgent enclave. We saw four more bodies,” said sources. The military sources also revealed that abandoned weapons and casualties were observed in Garin Mallum and Garin Gajere, suggesting heavy losses suffered by the insurgents during the failed attack. The military leadership urged to sustain the operational tempo, retain the initiative, and consolidate on the gains recorded against the insurgents.
