I totally understand where you’re coming from but it’s not like he had access to a therapist or a grief counselor. Totally different times.

@iamgalactic @CinemaTweets1 He could have made a new life with a new woman (the opportunity presented itself and he didn’t do anything with it). He could have learned from his mistakes and tried again. Instead he wallowed in his misplaced guilt and did nothing.

Regardless of whether Train Dreams takes home any #Oscars today, this will forever remain a high point of 2025 for me. I really connected with this movie & this story. I’m glad it got a Best Picture nomination. We need more raw films like this- one of ‘25’s best without question.
