According to the Bank of Canada interest rates will stay higher for longer. They believe inflation will come down to 2% by mid 2025. If the BOC thinks we won’t reach our target for inflation by mid 2025 it’s reasonable to believe that there will be MORE increases.

A lot of realtors and mortgage brokers are going to stop renewing their licenses, this market is challenging but you need to tread through the storm

So if you’re sitting on the sidelines with a variable rate & feeling the pressure, it is in your best interests to do something about it now.

I’ve been in this industry for 7 years and the current environment for rates is the worst I’ve ever experienced. It’s becoming difficult for individuals to qualify especially if they have an existing real estate portfolio.
