@iamicb We must remember that there is no "Scottish Government" only a rebranded UK devolved administration in Scotland.

Scotland is not a partner in a Union with England. What we have is a locally managed administration, no different from the structures England imposed on its other colonies. We have a department of the English state overseeing that administration, exactly like its colonies. At the top sits a Secretary of State, exactly as the colonies had. England, by contrast, has never had a Secretary of State for England. The only reason England is exempt from the structures applied to every other territory in the so-called ‘United Kingdom’ and its "Empire" is that it functions as the colonising power, not an equal (or unequal) partner. A relationship built on control, hierarchy, imposed governance and wealth extraction cannot credibly be called a "Union.”

Planning is devolved. The SNP consents to Scotland's asset stripping. You never did look at the Energy Consents Unit did you?

Energy bills are rising again. Labour came to office promising to cut bills by £300.  Instead they are up by nearly £200. In energy-rich Scotland nobody should be struggling to pay their bills. The UK Budget next week must take action to bring bills down significantly.
