How can this be true? Do other government agencies that control policies that drive private company revenues allow their employees to receive payments from these third parties? What is the justification for such an approach? How is it possible that there was no previous public disclosure of this conflict?

Yesterday's embarrassing verdict in the #TornadoCash case is a clear demonstration of what was predicted in the 1997 book "The Sovereign Individual".
It predicted the appearance of #bitcoin, the freedom it will give to people, governments' response & the outcome.

Guy Swann (@BitcoinAudible) brilliantly articulates why the only way to fix the world is to fix the money. Yet another reason why the question “What is Money?” will be regarded as the defining question of our time in history.

Warren Smith: "I'm not going to say what is right or wrong or which way to think. The whole point is to learn how to think not what to think."
Smith, who was recently fired, went viral in the attached video for questioning why a student thought JK Rowling held bigoted opinions. He demonstrated the Socratic Method proficiently and guided his class through a productive conversation.
It sucks students at his old school now have one less teacher who values critical thinking.

@JaceTheMarketer I like a base of simplicity, but to battle storms from time to time if fun too. Gotta have both.

@thejustinwelsh Avoid those shiny objects. They're everywhere. I like the Derek Sivers rule - either hell yeah, or no.

It's all about quality.
I used to be more into the numbers, but that was a big mistake.
Well into my 40's, I've come to realize that the quality of relationships is everything.
To have a small circle of friends who you connect with is invaluable.
A small circle that understands you AND calls you out on your bullshit.
This means recognizing when to let go and when to dive in.
Don't fight the evolution of your circle.

Even when it looks juicy.
You've got to learn how to say no.
I'm talking about projects, deals, opportunities, and other shiny objects.
Every time you say yes to something, it's automatically a no to something else.
Watch that shiny object syndrome.
Make sure it's a hell yes, then go all-in.

@TheEvolvedDad With you 100% on this. Plenty of folks in their 70's and 80's who walk around with old wounds they've never dealt with, only buried.

Want to learn something wild?
We give 10x more weight to negative news than positive news.
It's called negativity bias.
Let me explain.
There’s a part of our brain called the amygdala, and amongst other things, it serves as an early warning system for threats.
It's like a security guard, constantly scanning the landscape for danger.
For most of our existence it would help us combat threats such as starvation or getting mauled by a lion.
The thing is, most of us don’t live in environments with those threats anymore, yet this part of our brain keeps acting as if we do.
It leads to knee-jerk reactions and poor decision making (horrible for business builders).
The answer?
Monitor the type and frequency of your media diet.
You'll reduce anxiety levels, make better decisions, and be a better business builder.
