20/50 of the Cowboys touchdowns last year came from 4 games against the Giants and Commanders. 40% of their offensive production. The writing has been on the wall.

@TheOpen any way to look into the echo issue on the broadcast today? It’s happening with shots and crowd noise.

@DaleJohnsonBBC Did the technology test touches 20-30m in the air? Did it test touches while the ball has the least momentum at the apex of an aerial kick? This doesn’t qualify as a normal action in the field of play and likely wasn’t tested for.

This is not true. There are 16 antennas for the ball signal under the roof. Also, the 'heartbeat of the ball', was available at all times. There is a very slight 'wave' which is the ball travelling through the air.  Plus, the cable cam footage doesn't shake or move.
⭐️⭐️@MosasamiCFC

@DaleJohnsonBBC I read that due to the height of the ball at the time it does not register the touch, is this true?

@JulioZeni @lbertozzi @marcelon7 In addition to this, you’re at max distance from antennas with the least movement on the ball at the apex of a kick. You’re asking the sensor to register a soft touch at max range. I don’t believe this is a scenario that’s tested. Why would it be?

@JulioZeni @lbertozzi @marcelon7 The antennas are likely tested on an x axis. Each antenna is not capturing field length. That’s why there are multiple. Capturing contact with the ball that high up on the y axis is likely untested. The sensor in the ball is meant to capture contact in the field of play.

@ns_eng @JulioZeni @lbertozzi @marcelon7 I can almost assure you edge case scenarios like this were not tested. The sensor in the ball is meant to capture sports related contact. No athlete is 20-30m in the air.

@iamnotdenzel @JulioZeni @lbertozzi @marcelon7 You have to be naive to believe that an antenna will not capture the data in an open field. Even the cheapest antenna nowadays have range to cover the whole field.

@FOXSports The ball hit the wire around midfield, at the apex of the kick where there’s the least movement, at the farthest possible distance from the antennas. It’s unlikely edge case scenarios like this were tested. Big miss by FIFA.

@lbertozzi @marcelon7 A antena não é um laser, a comunicação com ela é tridimensional. Você não precisa estar na altura da torre de celular pra receber o sinal, e se for no topo de um prédio vai receber igual se estivesse na rua.

@HaterReport Yes. It’s unlikely they tested balls being touched outside of the normal field of play. It was out of range and too far to transmit.

@BastiatAlive @footballconfid1 @markpougatch It was more than likely out of range to register a touch. The ball was not in a normal field of play. It was at peak height near mid field - outside of transmittable range. I do not believe they have tested balls hitting roofs and/or wires that are that elevated.

@footballconfid1 @markpougatch That take is horrible for determining if it touched or not... The regular side camera shows a perfectly parabolic trajectory... There is no evidence of such touch for now, other than a viral Fox Sport clip simply claiming it...

@marcelon7 @lbertozzi Agreed. The height of the ball was out of range from the anchors and didn’t register the touch.

@lbertozzi Falou bobagem aí hein…. A antena estar na altura do gramado não tem nada a ver. A bola tem um acelerômetro e manda essa informação para as antenas, ela estar acima das antenas não influencia em nada. A distância da antena que é importante

@jamesrenehan_ @fifamedia Nah. It’s just evidence that touches at that height are out of range and therefore wont transmit

Before England’s goal in minute 45+2 against Norway, the sensor in the Connected Ball showed no peak in the 'heartbeat of the ball' when in the air, and therefore no evidence that the ball touched the overhead wire and changed the movement of the ball.

@fifamedia I find it highly unlikely that you tested that balls being hit at that height would still register a pulse and be within range of transmission.
