@AtomsksSanakan @Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @mattwridley so what are the best studies/articles/books to understand the scientific consensus on climate change?
English

@Sebastarian @iamonlyadream @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @mattwridley To wrap up:
The video quotes Ridley's lectures + written work to show his content.
And the video debunks his lukewarmist claims, as experts have noted.

@iamonlyadream @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 This document has a ton of rebuttals to common Marxist ideas, alongside numerous other information about libertarianism vs statism.

@Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 Im planning to read marx and I have had a hard time finding a comprehensive modern evaluation of where he ended up being right and wrong, if you know of any books along those lines would greatly appreciate it
English

@Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 and thanks for all the suggestions man, if i can bother you with one more request, what are the best books for critique/analysis of marx's work, especially capital.
English

@iamonlyadream @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 I would suggest looking into free market environmentalism, particularly works by Terry Anderson and Richard Stroup, though I can't say I have personally read a lot of books on the subject. I know that Walter Block has a book on the subject too.
English

@Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 that makes sense. are there any actually good books about the history of the movement?
English

@iamonlyadream @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 It's not influential to conservative networks or political strategists at all. In fact, the conspiratorial reaction to it by progressives makes it, ironically, more influential in progressive politics. Even liberals like Mark Schmitt admit that its role is greatly exaggerated.
English

@Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 oh and also what in your view is wrong with their estimate of the social cost of carbon
English

@Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 On the powell memorandum, it seems to be real, what exactly is wrong with the narrative around it, do you just mean it is often framed/emphazied in a conspiritorial way?
English

@Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 and opposed even those moderate climate policies that tol and nordhas support. I also do not understand how the experts you agree with on the subject can be rationalized in a freemarket/ancap worldview, which inherently opposes every policies they support to address the climate
English

@Sebastarian @NeoRothbardian @c4ssdotorg @jadler1969 I dont doubt you knowing a lot about this subject and having good intentions but I really do not understand how it is reasonale to support koch and other think tanks/lobbies who have often engaged in pseudoscientific climate denial
