Secret Santa in the office, Diwali in the office, and dances in the office.
Just to satisfy employees at the workplace so they won't demand more money or resist 70-hour weeks.
Outside India, employers never force employees to celebrate festivals in the office. They simply declare Christmas holidays. Slave mentality persists in Indian workplaces.
Some people may find this offensive, but you're literally wearing good clothes, spending money on Secret Santa gifts, and still working in the office with no holiday. Employers gift dry fruits and utensils for Diwali rather than cash.
At least take your team on a vacation or give them freedom to enjoy the off-season. What's the obsession with doing everything in the same building during the same office hours?

@DealsDhamaka If I bought any new blue shirt , I will be thrown out from my Home
English

I own shirts in many colours 👕
But according to my family, they’re all just… different shades of blue.
I tried taking their advice and wearing other colours, but nothing feels or looks as good as BLUE 💙
Many men might relate to this. If you are one, this is for you.I started reading, here are some theories.
There are a few well-known theories that explain why blue is the choice
1. Color Psychology Theory
Blue is proven to evoke calmness, trust, and stability across cultures.
Because the brain reads blue as a “low-threat” colour, it feels naturally pleasant and easy on the eyes. This makes it visually flattering and emotionally comfortable.
2. Opponent Process Theory (Vision Science)
Human vision is based on color pairs processed in opposite channels:
Blue ↔ Yellow
Red ↔ Green
Since skin tones lean towards yellow/brown tones, blue sits on the opposite axis and creates balanced contrast without clashing.
3. Color Harmony Theory
In color theory, blue creates analogous and complementary harmonies easily. It blends well with cool undertones and contrasts well with warm undertones both are considered “harmonious” combinations.
4. Universally High Contrast on Human Skin
All human skins, from light to deep, fall into the brown spectrum.
Blue naturally contrasts with brown on the color wheel, which makes the face stand out cleanly.
This effect is similar to what photographers call the “skin-tone contrast rule.”
5. Semiotics (Symbolism Across Cultures)
Blue carries positive meaning in most cultures, peace, trust, and intelligence. Because it rarely has any negative cultural association, it is globally accepted, making it feel universally “right.”
6. Brand & Uniform Psychology
Corporates, airlines, banks, hospitals, they all use blue because it is the most universally liked color in global surveys. This trains our brain to associate blue with reliability. When a person wears it, the same perception transfers.
Blue works because of vision science, psychological comfort, contrast rules, and universal symbolism. It isn’t random, it’s rooted in how human eyes and brains are wired.
