@UniverseIce Every brand has to go through this phase when a businessman is driving the company instead of an engineer. Intel is a prime example, it went to shit before and after Pat Gelsinger became as CEO. Similarly, Samsung under DJ Koh was at its peak. TM Roh is just a businessman.

If Samsung adopts more powerful hardware and larger sensors, it would be combined with Expert RAW. The image quality will be unmatched. What a pity.

@UniverseIce Samsung keeps mocking Apple, meanwhile iphone is now ahead of them in every aspect. My s23 plus has only one major update left next year, and I have no hope that the camera will get any better. I am still not satisfied with camera of my s23+ in 2.5 years as I was with s10 plus.

Samsung is the classic example of a company that lacks the capability but pretends to imitate everything Apple does. In the end, it ends up looking like a half-baked copy. Take the camera for example—Samsung has been imitating Apple in every way, but the one thing they should have copied, the 24MP, they still can’t achieve in their default camera. This is a clear sign of their lack of capability. Samsung’s camera really needs that 24MP to make up for the inadequacy of the default 12MP resolution, which has always been one of their camera's weaknesses. Chinese brands with their 1-inch main sensors produce photos that stay detailed and natural even when enlarged, while Samsung's photos over the years have either been full of sharpened fake details or plagued with noise. Despite Samsung’s yearly optimizations, their camera is still the worst in the industry. Expert RAW offers a 24MP mode, but the photo speed is too slow for daily use. Meanwhile, Chinese brands have successfully implemented a 24MP mode, providing fast shooting and excellent image quality. I’m sure you all feel this, right? Friends, Samsung is just too lazy to make progress. Every year, they only do two things: 1. See what improvements Apple has made and evaluate how they can copy them. 2. Give up on anything too difficult and stick to the easy stuff.

@tarunvats33 Same, I was planning to get the s26 plus then discovered Samsung replaced the plus with edge, I thought ok, as long as the specs are the same as the plus version, but dropped the plan after seeing the dummy today. Will wait for S27.
