When people say this, they don't account for the fact that the dollar too has gone through a lot as a currency. $1 in 2014 is stronger than $1 in 2026. The difference might not be outrageous like that of Naira but it's not negligible. You can't just set the dollar as the bar when it has lost some value too over the years. This does not in any way negate the fact that our Naira is shitty.
