@hd_materialsUK hi, your Earls Barton, Northants site that extends from Whiston to Cogenhoe has currently got Avocets and Little Ringed plover nests on the islands.
We are aware you are draining the site with the intention to backfill the quarry.
Could you pause the drainage?

Couldn’t figure it out with bins till I saw the photos

@AdrianBorley 4 different harriers this morning, is mental.
Well jel of your Whoopers and the Grey plover though.
But I had jaw dropping views of the Hen Harrier, so I’m not complaining.

#Northantsbirds Another crack at the Whiston Harrier today, again a distant 20 second view of it hunting; the white rump gleamed in the gloom! Very nice habitat at the Cogenhoe end, will rival Summerleys for waders come the Spring😉. Vocal Grey Plover (red-circled, honest😄),

@AdrianBorley Have the Shore Larks given up with Holkham now?
They were feeding in a different bit last year (I missed them🙄) the saltmarsh is very wet nowadays and the disturbance from the dog walkers is insane at Holkham.
English

Awesome dog walk and New workings ✔️, in the shape of a ringtail Hen Harrier cruising over the flooded gravel pits. Helluva suprise and probably my best bird I’ve had on the new workings.
