@matheuscaseca He’s also a massive hypocrite who contributed basically nothing for the vast majority of the tournament

Surely the entirety of sports media will now spend the next few weeks condemning the Spanish national team for celebrating and shaking hands with Donald Trump, right?

I mean, that’s how many, many NFL games are. They make 3-4 trips to the red zone per game, soccer has dozens of trips to the scoring area. Doesn’t mean every soccer game is good or high scoring, but there is threatening build up of play frequently, while the NFL has turned into a long field goal contest and has some of the worst quarterback play we’ve ever seen

@ianmSC That would be an extremely boring NFL game... and it still would be more exciting than soccer.

On to NFL season where everyone pretends like watching teams average 2.4 yards per play in a 3-0 first half is exciting because they’ve bet on it or are following their fantasy football teams

@kylamb8 Also, and this is not you, but people legitimately think big numbers=more scoring when the average NFL game features much less scoring plays than baseball for example

@kylamb8 Soccer games involve the teams getting into the scoring zone dozens of times per game, NFL teams average like 3-4 trips to the red zone. But they only need to get to the 40-42 yard line to be in field goal range which props up scoring

American national anthem before kick off, game not played at night, hydration breaks, dynamic ticket prices, camera panning to celebrities every 25 seconds and a 30 minute HT show still to come Never let these fucking idiots host it again

@MicroGuy18 I mean that’s a slight exaggeration but offense in the NFL is declining even with all their efforts to make touching an offensive player a penalty

Spain absolutely deserved to win the World Cup, and beat Portugal, Belgium, France and Argentina to finish the tournament, which gives the USMNT a blueprint to follow: have a bunch of the best players in the world on the same team

This World Cup has been horrible. Four quarters is horrible. The corruption is horrible. This final is horrible. Half time is going to be horrible. Please can the USA never host a World Cup again. They have their own sports, which are very fine. They do not need to ruin ours.

The Pirates plan to be aggressive at the trade deadline, but only if they can acquire pieces without increasing payroll, per @BNightengale.

I mean, we could say that about literally anything. Gross ass adults worried about the casting in any movie, or the advertising that Bud Light uses. If you dismiss every single disagreement out of hand because it's supposedly immature, you will allow the left to overrun culture, education, and institutions, which is precisely what's happened

The World Cup Final is the culmination of an incredibly successful tournament with record setting attendance & outstanding stadium atmospheres after months of complaining & negativity from the media & European fans So how do they cover it? By making it about climate change

Guys, the tell is he never attacks billionaire Neville Roy Singham, who resides in China in his funding his anti-datacenter push. He's not the high sparrow, he's just another politician. He's even more bought and paid for than the rest of them.
Sen. Bernie Sanders@SenSanders

Sergey Brin is worth $276 billion. He could save healthcare for 3 million people. Instead, he’s spending $82 million against California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax. He’d rather see low-income Americans die & suffer than pay his fair share of taxes. That is a moral obscenity.
