One day you use Pencil for designs, the next day you use Google Stitch. The disrupters are getting disrupted in real-time. This space moves fast!

@vimota Same. Although I find CC better for UI design, and use it for that use case, Codex for code. Do you find that as well?

One way OpenAI justifies a valuation on a future ad market is the market they target isn't just the current market. It's serving ads at new intent moments before search, like needing to host your Codex code, or find a financial advisor in my area, as you work with agents.

@karpathy @grok Can I use this to train an agent to learn and improve how best to make picks / transfers each week in my Fantasy Premier League mini league? What is the best kind of data to train on, including historical data, and actual performance of suggested picks each week as input.

I packaged up the "autoresearch" project into a new self-contained minimal repo if people would like to play over the weekend. It's basically nanochat LLM training core stripped down to a single-GPU, one file version of ~630 lines of code, then: - the human iterates on the prompt (.md) - the AI agent iterates on the training code (.py) The goal is to engineer your agents to make the fastest research progress indefinitely and without any of your own involvement. In the image, every dot is a complete LLM training run that lasts exactly 5 minutes. The agent works in an autonomous loop on a git feature branch and accumulates git commits to the training script as it finds better settings (of lower validation loss by the end) of the neural network architecture, the optimizer, all the hyperparameters, etc. You can imagine comparing the research progress of different prompts, different agents, etc. github.com/karpathy/autor… Part code, part sci-fi, and a pinch of psychosis :)

You know you should be working on Marketing, not features. You build new features anyway because (a) it's fun and (b) you know how. Whereas the business usually needs you to learn marketing and get another customer today. longform.asmartbear.com/put-down-the-c…

@Casebradford Thanks for sharing. The key part imo "We have to create again a scenario in which you transform the way that you breathe in order to address an issue". Change the fundamental issue, the breath will follow.

Sad to see Bo leave the Jays, but happy for him, it was a smart deal. I wasn't hot on Tucker, so that's fine. But please, let's not sign Bellinger. Biggest red herring in baseball.

I don’t think self vibecoded software is the future for businesses A couple of months ago I vibecoded a tool for a friends business his entire staff has been using it for six months now (37 people) the thing is, he’s constantly sending me feature requests, bug fixes The app is pretty complicated since it deals with insurance benefits verification so for someone that doesn’t have software development experience you can’t just prompt to fix it (believe me, he tried) recently, the API provider changed something that broke everything he’s getting really tired of dealing with it and as Peer points out that’s why saas was built in the first place somebody who’s not in the software business will find it really annoying to now have to deal with all the maintenance saas is not dead
Peer Richelsen@peer_rich

"why would i pay for saas if i can prompt the software myself and run it" my brother in christ have you heard of open source businesses the last thing people want to do is to be in charge of development and maintenance of software

@vimota I also think best strategy is to just build off of the rapid advancement of frontier models and generic agents, unless you have a compelling reason not too. Distribution, data moats, network effects, as always, are paramount.

@vimota Agreed. I think you'll also be able to define whole businesses this way and have the AI deploy and manage it for you. Very possible.

You need to be specmaxxing Generative UIs, generative workflows, generative diagrams - Specs are all you need
Victor Mota@vimota

A few months ago we built something very similar at @coplane, but with a more Pydantic-centric angle: a spec for a component library that Agents could use to generate interfaces for user interaction. We wanted our "IO agents" (which are durable workflows with gen UI tools) to be able to display rich objects to users - markdown, tables, db entities - as well as be able to generate forms, request files

I'm excited to share that @0xPolygon is acquiring @0xsequence. @Coinme is joining too. Together we’re building the Open Money Stack: A unified platform to move money globally. • Sequence + Trails: Secure, non-custodial wallet infrastructure with cross-chain intents and orchestration. • Coinme: Money-transmitter licenses and robust on/off-ramps connecting fiat to stablecoins. • Polygon: Massive scale and speed, with $2.2T in on-chain volume and fast settlement. Stacked together, this means businesses, institutions, and developers can move funds instantly across chains and regions, with fewer steps and fewer failure points. Build on Polygon Chain or any chain your use case requires. The Open Money Stack handles routing and settlement so you can focus on your product and end user experience. Our commitment doesn't change: Empower developers, hide blockchain complexity, and make building on-chain as easy as web2. Sequence and Trails will continue to operate as they have been. Your apps, keys, and integrations stay as they are, now backed by an even stronger, combined team. I am so proud of what our team has built at Sequence, and excited for what we'll ship next with Polygon.
Polygon | POL@0xPolygon

@fahdananta Hugely underrated. Also, where you decide to live is massively influential. It's often times worth the premium to live in the right place.

The most important decision you make is the meta decision If you want to eat better, meta decision is to not have bad food in your house If you want to avoid vices, meta decision is to not be in those environments Structurally design your environment for success, discipline, and to avoid slippage
